Horror
Current Budget: $336 per year LTX, Studio/Time to edit
Plot:
A group of teens decide to go up to old man Kotter’s haunted house near the old mill pond. After a scare, they run into the woods where, “no one who goes into the woods comes out alive.” Can they make it through the woods and past the old mill pond and stay alive?
Background:
Working with AI can create several creepy scenes that usually are thrown out because they are not consistent with reality, but this time it inspired me to create a scary film.
I wanted to create that feeling of horror without the gore or typical murder scenes found in a horror film. Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock film or “The Ring” (Japanese version), I let music and sound hint at the fear instead of visual blood and guts.

This time it was interesting to add in all of the diegetic sounds. The running footsteps were a problem just because they didn’t match and the sound distorted when the speed was adjusted. It would have been better to create the sound myself instead of just using canned sound.
I really like my new external microphone though for recording dialogue. Although a sound studio, portable or not, would be preferable.
This is another one that I would consider making into a full length film. I just need to flesh out a screenplay in my spare time.
