Action/Thriller
Budget Projection: $60-65 million
Plot:
Aaron Scott meets a mysterious man, Cain, who offers him the deal of a lifetime.
Aaron gets an increase in his lifestyle, more money, a better place to live, a new girlfriend, but there’s a catch, he must follow the instructions Cain gives him and kill the person he names or Aaron will end up being the next one that’s killed.
Background:
As more and more people end up striking it rich, and more luxurious apartments are built, the rest of us get to play voyeur and sneak a peek into what a lifestyle like that would be like. Bump It Up was inspired by taking that voyeurism to the next level and answering the question of what would it be like for just an average person who spends most of his time missing opportunities, to have an easy way to rise up into the upper echelon of living.
It also explores the concept of a morally good man who is in essence forced to commit murder, albeit he receives a benefit from killing the people.
Bump It Up flirts with the concept, as well, of what happens to friendship when a person like, Aaron Scott, gets a boost in lifestyle and the friend, Ezra, wants that boost as well.

Writer Mari Bengston at Pikes Peak International Raceway in 2017
The car chase scene was designed by a former motorcycle racer and was inspired by the great car chase scenes from Bullitt and The Bourne Identity using racing techniques to push the limits of a Bugatti Chiron on the busy streets of New York City. It also answers the question of can a Bugatti Chiron reach the maximum speed on Henry Hudson Parkway (Highway 9A) starting at 96th and stop in time to take a left turn on 54th.
The answer is yes you can.
Cinematic Style:
Bump It Up is made for IMAX 3D where the audience can experience Aaron Scott’s bump up in lifestyles and actually feel as if they were standing in the apartments along with him. The IMAX 3D experience gives the audience the chance to be right next to Aaron as he makes his next kill and in the driver’s seat of the Bugatti Chiron.
