Plot:
Princess Elowen of Amandor has always wondered about the world outside of the palace. At the age of 16 she gets her chance to leave the palace, when an Evil Witch kidnaps her parents and Princess Elowen along with the help of her friends must travel to the Evil Witch’s lair to free her parents and restore the Kingdom of Amandor.
Princess Elowen’s friend Pepper, a fishbird (part fish, part bird can swim and fly and morph into other shapes like an octopus), makes the journey with her as they travel through the desert and forest meeting friends along the way and facing obstacles along their path. Fishbirds don’t fly in the air, they swim in the air and fly in the water.

Background:
This video was created using AI generated videos that varied in length from 3-9 seconds long from the same original image. The 21 videos were edited together to create a video of 1:35 minutes. The challenge with this type of editing is to string the videos together without having the audience grow bored with the same image and without even noticing that they are seeing the videos revert back to the same image 21 times.

By using the same image, there is a basic level of continuity that is carried throughout the 21 videos. Some of the minor details, changes in hair decorations in the back of Princess Elowen’s hair and changes in the windows behind Princess Elowen did not maintain continuity but with this project were at an acceptable level.
Another part of this challenge was to see just how much Artificial Intelligence could do on its own, without the intervention of a human to clean up the details. Some of the major mistakes like Princess Elowen walking through the balcony railing and her hand morphing into a grotesque 6 fingered mess were edited out.
Some of the mistakes, like the bird morphing into weird shapes were added to the storyline of Pepper being a fishbird, part fish, part bird can swim and fly and morph into other shapes like an octopus. This trick of covering for the AI generated image mistakes can only be used sparingly.
The audio was added after the video editing to match the lips of the AI generated videos. The AI prompt of “Princess Elowen sings” was able to be successful at generating videos, whereas Artificial Intelligence was unable to create a video using the prompt “Princess Elowen sings, ‘Have you seen a fish that swims?’”
Unfortunately, adding the song after editing the video left the song with an uneven tempo. The AI generator would not be able to create videos to keep up with the tempo on a song and sync the words to the lips of the AI generated character.
